Berichte des Bundesamtes für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie Nr. 53/2014
In Germany, ice observations have been carried out regularly since the winter of 1896/97, and since the winter of 1899/1900 the uniformly processed ice data have been published in the descriptions of the ice winters. A comparison of the systematically evaluated data of a large number of coastal stations allows statements to be made about possible periodic fluctuations or changes in ice occurrence in the different years or in different coastal sections.
