The correction service for charts and books ensures a high level of accuracy. No liability is assumed for the correctness and completeness of data.
Only the paid issues of Nachrichten für Seefahrer (NfS - notices to mariners) are authoritative in this respect.Corrections to nautical charts
Cumulative corrections for the German North and Baltic sea areas are available from NfS issue 1/1998, for the other sea areas from issue 22/1999.

Small craft charts corrections
Corrections to current small craft charts
From issue 2010, an improved correction service allowing sheet-specific corrections using the „Nachrichten für Seefahrer“ (NfS, Notices to Mariners) is available for small craft charts. New issues
The BSH normally issues yearly New Editions of its small craft folios which include all corrections that have been published to date. The small craft charts are derived from large-format nautical charts. Correction date
The date of small corrections (year, day, and month) corresponds to the issue date of an NfS issue and is shown at the lower left-hand margin of the index sheet. Voluntary co-operation
Any information provided that helps to complete or correct the BSH‘s nautical publications is a contribution to the safety of navigation.
