Here is a list (ZIP-file, 48 KB, only in german) of the navigational equipment type-approved for use in inland navigation by Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH)
and its predecessor, Deutsches Hydrographisches Institut(DHI, German Hydrographic Institute). Explanations of this list are provided as well.

EU database of type-approved marine equipment according to EU Directive 96/98/EC
A currently updated database containing detailed information about the marine equipment (including navigational and radiocommunications equipment) that has been type-approved according toEU Directive 96/98/EC has been available on the Internet since 4 February 2002. After an easy registration procedure, those interested get access to detailed data on the approved
marine equipment,
free of charge. The data includes the manufacturer's name, product information, type approval data, and name of the approving body. The applicable Directives and their amendments in English language are available as well. Also included is the current version of Annex A.1 listing the marine equipment on Member States' vessels that has to be type-approved according to the above Directive.
