1. planning permission for the above project in the German territorial sea under Art. 43, EnWG,
2. approval of the above project on the German continental shelf under Art. 133, para. 1, No. 1, BBergG

3. approval of the above project on the German continental shelf under Art. 133, para. 1, No. 2a, BBergG

The scoping meeting was held in Stralsund on 31 January 2007.

After having carried out a route survey, and on the basis of statements received from the Affected Parties in the international consultation process under the Espoo Convention, Nord Stream AG submitted two applications for changes of the planned pipeline route, complete with relevant documentation.

On 12 December 2008, Nord Stream AG submitted the complete application documentation including Environmental Impact Assessment to the Stralsund mining authority and BSH Hamburg.

The complete documentation had been sent to public agencies, other bodies and organisations as part of the broad consultation process, with a request for comment.

A consultation meeting was held in Stralsund from 22 - 25 June 2009, jointly with the Stralsund mining authority. 20 statements had been received, including one from a private party and five in a transboundary context.

Further information about the procedure is provided in the notification of approval.
