Comments on the diagrams
No elevated levels of artificial radiation have been measured this week.
In the tidal phase, the influence of cosmic radiation increases because the
water layer above the detector is thinner. The fluctuations of the activity
values (1st diagram) have natural causes and are compensated in the computation
of artificial radioactivity (2nd diagram, red line).
When the thickness of the water layer above the detector decreases to less
than 1.50 m, the influence of cosmic radiation becomes so high that it cannot
be compensated by the detector, which automatically interrupts data recording
(quotient and spectrum) until the water level has risen again above 1.50
m. During the interruption, the computed artificial radioactivity data (red
line, 2nd diagram) are automatically set to "not plausible" (blue line).
