data centre at its Rostock headquarters where it collects and archives German

One of the recipients of bathymetric data sets is the IHO Data Center for Digital
Bathymetry (
IHO-DCDB), where international marine research institutions
have central access to world-wide bathymetric data. In this way, the BSH
supports scientific research and, indirectly, the development and updating
of global and regional bathymetric charts (
GEBCO,
IBCAO,
IBCCA,
IBCEA,
IBCM,
IBCSEP,
