Dispersion models


The Eulerian dispersion model

The Eulerian dispersion model simulates the temporal evolution of concentration distributions. The transport algorithm used in the model enables the representation of strong concentration differences (fronts).

Therefore the Eulerian dispersion model is mostly used for investigations about the dispersion of water solvable substances and of water quality in the North- and Baltic Sea. The model can for instance answer the question, how harmful substances, which enter the sea by rivers, spread and disperse.
