By its notification of approval dated 10 June 2008, the BSH issued the first Type Approval Certificate worldwide for a ballast water management system using active substances.
It is the ballast water treatment system SEDNA© using the active substance PERACLEAN© Ocean, drawing number 07-025-00205-2-0002, with a max. flow rate of 250 cu.m./h (SEDNA© 250, #6764.AB).
