Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The cruise serves to record the status quo of the prevailing biotope types (MSRL) and the benthic habitat types in the German Baltic Sea EEZ and is part of the monitoring carried out since 2009 to fulfill the reporting obligations of the Federal Republic of Germany for the implementation of the Habitats Directive. The task is a comprehensive recording of the benthic communities, especially in the sea areas Kiel Bay, Oder Bank and Arkona Basin using various methods. Scope and choice of method are defined by the corresponding instructions of the implementation guidelines, including grab samples, dredge samples, CTD measurements and under water video.
