Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The cruise HE502 served to collect data for the projects AMIN III, STENCIL (BMBF funded) and for AWI in-house projects. For AMIN III 6 days were scheduled. The mean objectives were habitat mapping in the area of the Dogger Bank and detection of near-surface structures in order to assess sediment dynamics. Because of bad weather conditions, the cruise started at 09th december. On 13th december the measurements must be stopped because of strong sea conditions. At 15th december a new underwater videosystem was tested at the Sylter Au?enriff. The cruise ended at 19th in Bremerhaven.
