Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The objectives of the cruise POS501 from Malaga to Ponta Delgada in June 2016 on board R/V Poseidon were: 1) to investigate the water column properties along four meridional transects (23?W-22?W-21?W-20?W between 31?N and 37?N), 2) to localize the Azores Front and to understand the changes in biogeochemical properties and 3) to perfome extensive acoustic trials in deep sea (>5000 m).
