Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

Target species are demersal fish species, mainly Baltic cod, and flat fish species, mainly flounder, plaice, dab and turbot. The main aim is to determine the year-class strength of the target species. Target data are abundances, weight and length distributions of all fishes and length-weight-age-sex-maturity-feeding data of commercially important species as well as hydro-graphic data (temperature, salinity and oxygen). The collected data are saved in a national Access database and submitted to the ICES WGBFAS and DATRAS database. Germany is participating in the survey in the first quarter and in the fourth quarter. Germany is co-ordinating this survey within the ICES BIFS Working Group. The survey parts were conducted from 27/10/11 to 11/11/11.
