Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

to estimate the formation and analyze the spreading of Labrador Sea Water in the subpolar North Atlantic to analyze the circulation of deep water components and the North Atlantic Current to estimate the deep water export in the Deep Western Boundary Current to measure the strength and variability of the subpolar gyre while crossing the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (47?-51?N) to recover/deploy three deep-sea moorings in the DWBC area off Flemish Cap to recover/deploy three deep-sea moorings at the western entrance to Faraday Fracture Zone to deploy two PIES at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge
