Methane gas distribution and microbiological and geochemical control of methane turnover in holocenic sediments in Black Sea shelf sediments. Methane gas seep distribution in the Danube Canyon, selected areas along the north eastern shelfbreak and in the Paleo Dniepraerea. Anearobic methane oxidation by carbonate precipitating microbial mats.
