Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Major cruise objectives were to - investigate the upper and intermediate water pathways, transport and water mass characteristics in the western tropical Atlantic - study interactions between the western boundary circulation and the equatorial current regime - determine long term averages of the deep western boundary currents and recirculation in the western tropical Atlantic - exchange moorings located at about 11?S at the western boundary
