Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
In August 2002 the Seabed Survey project will commence survey operations in Donegal Bay. This survey is the beginning of Zone 2 (50-200m depth) of the Irish National Seabed Survey. The survey extends from the 50-metre contour in Donegal Bay outwards with survey operations extending to the Northern median line as weather permits. The actual area surveyed will depend on weather and sea conditions but will maximise coverage below the 50-metre contour. Some surveying may also be required in shallower waters.
