Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
This cruise served to take samples for the HELCOM Baltic Monitoring program and to enhance the scientific quality of the program. Also, this cruise was part of the GLOBEC Germany 2002 field campaign. GLOBEC aims at unterstanding the dymanic and trophic relationships between zooplankton and fish in relation to physical processes. This requires an intensive study of zooplankton distribution in relation to hydrographic conditions.
