Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
1. Measure phytoplankton community and hydrographic context in summer Gulf of Maine. 2. Field test Flow CAM (imaging-in-flow) instrument. 3. Deploy chaulk in patch for optical measurements. We successfully deployed > 20 tons chaulk in patch offshore and made optical measurements of it. Then we completed a series of CTD stations with water collection and 20 ?m net tow in the Gulf of Maine. This included a transect from Stellwagen Bank across Jordan Basin and separate transects along the eastern Main coast crossing the Eastern Maine Coastal Current.
