Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
one of a series of physical and biological oceanography cruises to study: a) the mesoscale hydrophysical circulation with special attention to position of rim current and coastal anticyclonic eddies b) Spatial distribution of invader Mnemiopsis leidyi, its biomass and abundance c) spatial and vertical distribution and biomass and abundance phytoplankton, zooplankton, ichthyoplankton main tasks 1: effect of invader Mnemiopsis leidyi on zoo and ichthyoplankton, their species diversity 2: mesoscale circulation of hydrophycical parameters spatial and vertical distribution of mesozooplankton, ichthyoplankton, gelatinous plaankton with special attention to M.leidyi Spatial distribution and numbers of dolphins
