Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

Study of circulation pathways and water mass characteristics of upper-layer and deep circulation in the western tropical Atlantic. Exchange of 2 mooring to document climate-relevant variability of northward warm water transfer toward the equator along the shelf off Brasil. Compare water mass variations against earlier data. Deploy 5 floats to follow the pathwys of the warm water in the equartorial zone.
