Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Baroclinic motion patterns in deep Baltic basins on the meso-scale and their energy distribution by eddy-resolving mass-field studies (CTD) and micro-structure measurements (Enhancend Dissipation Profiler-EDP) for calibration/validation of existing numerical circulation models under the umbrella of the Russian-German cooperation (Meso-Scale-Dynamics= MESODYN) as well as the EU funded project MITEC (Microstructure Technology).
