Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The purpose of the cruise was twofold: 1.) During the first 10 days the catches of industrial fishery in hte German Bight and North Sea were investegated. 2.) During the following 3,5 weeks an annual hydroacoustic survey was carried out in the North Sea, as the german contribution of the International Hydroacoustic Herring. Survey in the North Sea and adjacent waters. During this, two intercalibrations were performed between R/V "Walther Herwig III" and "G.O.SARS" and between R/V "Walther Herwig III" and "DANA".
