Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The cruise was performed in coastal waters west off the Iberian peninsula to study the abundance and distibution patterns of cephalopods. Long-finned and flying squids were of particular interest. They were sampled with plankton and fishery trawls. The study was part of the european transnational EUROSQUID project "Stock Dynamics, Interactions and Recruitment in North East Atlantic Squid Fisheries". This project is sponsored by the EU.
