Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Investigation on the micronekton of the Western Mediterranean Sea, parti- culary midwater fish, such as lanternfish (Myctohpidae), Hatcket fish (Sternotychidae) and midwater squids (Cephalopoda), also midwater shrimps (Natantia) in the depths between 0 and 1000m. In addition, studies on the feeding ecology of lanternfishes (analyses of stomach contents) are in progress at IFMKI.
