Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
To study the Monsooncirculation in the Indian Ocean along 80? East. The Monsooncirculation is important for the water- and heat transport in the Indian Ocean, but their mean and seasonal signal is not well known, partly due to lack of measurements. The section along 80? East was chosen to study the zonal circulation.
