Notification of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency

Public presentation in the framework of the licensing procedure for the construction and operation of windmills in the German exclusive economic zone of the North Sea

 

Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie) has received an application due to the Seeanlagenverordnung (SeeAnlV – marine facilities ordinance) for the development of the offshore windfarm „SeaWind IV“ in the German exclusive economic zone, about 110 km northwest of the island Borkum from the company Northern Energy SeaWind IV GmbH, Westerholt. Northern Energy SeaWind IV GmbH plans to construct 80 wind turbines.

 

Details are provided in the application documents which are available for inspection from 27 October 2008 to 27 November 2008 during the office hours (Mo – Thu, 9:00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) at Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency , Bernhard-Nocht-Straße 78, room 532, 20359 Hamburg and Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency Rostock, Neptunallee 5, Library, 18057 Rostock. During the period as stated above, the documents may be inspected by the public. Comments may be submitted in writing to or put on record at Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency within two weeks after the end of the public inspection period.

 

Special note:

The procedure for the grid connection to the offshore windfarm will be conducted in a separate procedure.
