BSH radioactivity monitoring network within the integrated measuring
and information system (IMIS)

The data sets are automatically transmitted to the BSH's central processing unit via telephone (coastal stations) or satellite (sea stations), usually on an hourly basis. Once per working day in IMIS routine operational mode, or two-hourly in intensive operational mode, the measured data are displayed as graphs on the BSH monitoring network PC (at Hamburg or Rostock), evaluated interactively and checked for plausibility, after which the results are transmitted to IMIS.

The data flow is shown in the graph below.
